Cisco braces for biggest layoffs in its history

BOSTON (Reuters) - Cisco Systems Inc is expected to cut thousands of jobs in possibly its worst-ever round of layoffs to meet Chief Executive John Chambers' goal of slashing costs by $1 billion.
