Deadly tornadoes devastate the South: How to help (The Newsroom)

This NOAA satellite image taken Sunday, June 12, 2011 at 01:45 PM EDT shows fairly widespread cloud cover over the Northeast and trails of clouds extending across the eastern valleys.  A weakening frontal boundary associated with a low pressure system in southern Quebec kicks up showers in Vermont and New York.  Meanwhile, bands of showers and thunderstorms develop ahead of a cold front that extends from southern New York southwestward through Tennessee.  There is a slight risk of severe weather development from eastern Pennsylvania through North Carolina today.  Clusters of storms in these areas may create a few damaging downbursts and some hail.  Additional showers and thunderstorms develop in the Deep South and Florida.  Elsewhere, a slight risk of severe weather development with a few tornadoes, damaging wind, and hail exists in eastern Kansas and vicinity.
